Make a Difference
in Castlegar

Faith is not meant to be lived passively. Get involved, serve your neighbours, and discover the joy of purposeful community.

Volunteer Opportunities

Every person has gifts and talents that can serve the community around them. Here are some of the active volunteer roles we are always glad to fill.

🎡

Worship Team

Musicians, vocalists, and sound/media technicians are vital to our Sunday experience. Whether you play guitar, piano, drums, or sing, we would love to have you on the team. No professional experience required β€”only a heart to serve.

πŸ‘§

Children's Ministry Helper

Our Kids' Zone runs every Sunday and relies on caring volunteers to engage children ages 3–11. Volunteers assist with crafts, activities, teaching, and supervision. Background screening required for all volunteers working with children.

🌱

Community Outreach

Help coordinate food drives, community meals, seniors' visitation, and neighbourhood programs that extend our care beyond the walls of the church into the broader Castlegar community.

πŸ‘‹

Welcome Team / Greeters

First impressions matter. Our Welcome Team volunteers create a warm, genuine experience for every person who walks through our doors β€” new visitors and regular members alike. If you enjoy meeting people, this is for you.

Setup & Facilities

Practical servants are the backbone of a healthy church. Help set up chairs, prepare the space for events, assist with Sunday logistics, or contribute to building maintenance and improvement projects.

πŸ“‹

Administrative & Communications

If you have skills in administration, writing, social media, or graphic design, help us communicate our programs and events to the congregation and broader community more effectively.

Community Outreach Programs

Castlegar Christian Fellowship is deeply invested in the wellbeing of our city. We believe that faith expressed in action is the most powerful witness we can offer. Here are some of the ways we actively serve Castlegar:

  • βœ“ Food Bank Support β€” Regular contributions to local food banks and coordination of in-church food drives to assist families facing food insecurity.
  • βœ“ Community Meals β€” Monthly community breakfasts open to the public, providing hot meals and warm fellowship to anyone who walks through the door.
  • βœ“ Seniors' Visitation β€” Regular pastoral and volunteer visits to homebound seniors and residents of care facilities in the Castlegar area.
  • βœ“ School Supply Drives β€” Annual back-to-school drives collecting supplies for local students from families who need support as they begin the academic year.
  • βœ“ Pastoral Care & Counselling β€” Our pastoral team is available to community members seeking prayer, guidance, or care in times of personal difficulty.
